Psychedelia is coming back. Bands of all genres (rock, dance and rap come to mind) are embracing strange and "mind-enhancing" elements of music. And many visual artists are reaching back to 60s influences for the means to express the ideas of today they have to express.

One such visual artist is Heywire's own David C. Jackson. The 23-year-old visual artist works with colored pencil, watercolor, oil pastel and other mediums to bring a truly odd and electrifying point of view to the canvas. Here are some of my favorite pieces David has shared with us on the site.

In the computer animation age, it's always awesome to see people who still mess with traditional animation. Especially stop motion stuff. This video, called Stop Motion Spaghetti Cooking, is truly frickin' amazing. This is like if you went to Michele Gondry's house for dinner. Check this out:
